il nuovo appuntamento con il meglio del Sol Levante

Milano, 10 novembre 2011. Atelier ABC Mannequins , il nuovo hot spot trasversale della scena culturale milanese in Corso Como 5 votato allo scouting del meglio dell’avanguardia artistica internazionale, propone un nuovo evento spettacolare dedicato alla creatività no-logo e ai nuovi fermenti giovanili estranei ai circuiti convenzionali della produzione culturale.

Il nuovo appuntamento, “Yes, Japan!” nato da un’idea del team creativo riunito intorno alla figura di Christian Besana, vulcanico imprenditore e proprietario dello spazio multimediale, in collaborazione con il talentuoso e poliedrico art director Luca Crescenzi coadiuvato da Michele Modica, è interamente dedicato alle manifestazioni culturali e artistiche più stimolanti del Sol Levante in cui nobili tradizioni e tendenze futuribili fra establishment e street culture si intersecano in un cross-over continuo di spunti e suggestioni.

A partire dalle 21,30 Atelier ABC Mannequins, diventa il palcoscenico esclusivo di un happening ricco e articolato in cui la tecnica dello Shibari, meglio conosciuto come il bondage che rivive live grazie a una performance ad alto impatto scenico affidata all’expertise del maestro Andrea Ropez e l’elaborato rito della vestizione legato al kimono eseguito da Yamaguchi Sachiko, si intrecciano con la mostra degli scatti di Hiroshi Sakate e le idee di alcuni dei più promettenti astri nascenti della creatività fashion Made in Japan, un paese che è stato la culla di fashion designer del calibro di Issey Miyake, Comme des Garçons e di Yohji Yamamoto.

Oggi il Giappone esporta talenti della moda emergenti ma già riconosciuti e apprezzati dai critici e buyers più autorevoli :

Mikio Sakabe, Coinonia, Renfang Hu e Shuichi Mizuta, tutti selezionati dallo staff artistico impegnato nello sviluppo dei progetti culturali dello spazio. E ABC, marchio leader a livello mondiale nella creazione e realizzazione di manichini fashion di elevato valore artistico, epitome di eccellenza artigianale Made in Italy, non poteva che tendere una mano alle nuove leve Made in Japan offrendo loro l’opportunità di sfruttare una vetrina unica come Atelier ABC Mannequins , per presentare al pubblico e ai buyers i loro capi e accessori innovativi.

Atelier ABC Mannequins, the new hot spot Milan’s cultural stage in Corso Como 5 voted for the best artistic international avant-garde, has a new spectacular event devoted to no-logo creativity and new youth ferments outside the conventional circuits of cultural production.

The new appointment “Yes, Japan!” that was created from the whole team around the person of Christian Besana, explosive businessman and at the same time owner of Atelier ABC Mannequins, multimedia space, in cooperation with the talented and versatile art director Luca Crescenzi, assisted by Michele Modica, is entirely dedicated to the Japan’s most exciting cultural and artistic events in which noble traditions and trends between establishment and street culture, intersect themselves in a continuous cross-over of ideas and suggestions.

Starting from 9.30 pm Atelier Abc Mannequins becomes the exclusive stage of a rich articulated happening where the Shibari Technique, better known as the bondage that has been revived thanks to a live performance of high stage impact entrusted to the expertise of the teacher Andrea Ropes, and the elaborated ritual of vestition linked to the kimono performed by Yamaguchi Sachiko intertwine with the exhibition of Hiroshi Sakate shots and ideas of some of the most promising rising stars of creative fashion Made in Japan, a country that was the cradle of fashion designers such as Issey Miyake, Comme des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto.

Nowadays Japan's Fashion exports emerging talents who are already recognized and appreciated by the most influential critics and buyers: Mikio Sakabe, Coinonia, Shuichi Renfang Hu and Mizuta, all selected by the artistic staff engaged in the development of cultural projects of Atelier ABC.

It was in 1963 that Silvano Besana, the current President, after acquiring some experience in the commercial sector in a mannequin manufacturing company, founded in a few square meters what was to become one of the world leaders in the creation, production and sale of articles for point of sale, specializing in the clothing sector: the SOCIETA’ ITALIANA ABC Srl.

With this heritage, the company concentrates on the creation of articles perfected to the smallest detail and on their development, keeping abreast of the needs of a market that is constantly on the search for innovations.

Substantial investments are made in the creativity of the product and the image of the company: the creative centre, the factory, the showroom. The resulting collections of sophisticated taste and technically functional products are able to meet the most demanding requirements of the best international clients.

ABC Manichini is a clear example of Made in Italy. It is a blend of the oldest school of craft and the most modern design.

Its structure is founded on its creative centre, a real “Warholian factory” which, on one hand concentrates on conceiving, sculpting, modelling, painting and decorating the raw materials necessary for building new product lines. On the other hand, with the production department, it researches and develops new techniques for using recyclable materials which will have zero impact on the environment, in accordance with international regulations.

For many years we have breathed the air of creativity in this company. In this context, in 2009, Studio 51/53 saw the light of day. It’s a company that produces video/communication and theatre TV in which artists of international standing have already been hosted.

Thanks to this blend of activities, the ABC Mannequin comes alive in various events all over the globe, taking on an increasingly active role in the cultural life of the major cities of the world, including:

MILAN: artistic installations in Corso Como; in Fashion Week at Nhow Hotel and in the FuoriSalone del Mobile in Tortona area; in Vogue Fashion Night Out in the Brera district; in Night Geo Session in partnership with National Geographic in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and in the prestigious showcases of Milan Fashion.

LONDON: used to participate in and then win the Visual Merchandising and Display Awards 2010/11; prominent in the window displays of world famous stores such as Harrods, Liberty and Debenhams.

ABC è un chiaro esempio di Made in Italy, nato dal connubio tra la più antica scuola artigiana ed il più moderno design. La sua struttura si fonda sul suo polo creativo, una vera è propria “factory Warholiana”, che da un lato si occupa di ideare, scolpire, modellare, dipingere e decorare le materie prime necessarie per realizzare nuove linee di prodotti, dall’altro – insieme al reparto produzione – ricerca e sviluppa nuove tecniche per utilizzare materiali riciclabili ad impatto zero a norma con le leggi in vigore a livello internazionale.
